Introducing a new collaboration between Reigning Champ and ASICS that combines decades of manufacturing experience with the latest in running technology to achieve a new, global standard in modern athletic wear.

Spanning multiple continents, the collaborative project fuses run and travel, drawing inspiration from Kyoto, Vancouver, and, finally, Paris.

The Reigning Champ x ASICS Kyoto Edition is the first of three releases and offers a considered collection designed with purpose and built without compromise. Steeped in tradition and craftsmanship, the culture-rich city of Kyoto, Japan provides the backdrop for tried-and-true performance products alongside a collection of everyday athletic wear. Apparel and footwear design cues from this inaugural release have been informed by textile patterns and the weathered, wooden patina found throughout Kyoto.

For runners, collection highlights include a gradient-printed, lightweight running jacket, engineered tops inspired by traditional Boro textiles, a 7” running short and an innovative GEL-KAYANO™ 25 performance running shoe.

The Kyoto Edition also includes an elevated tracksuit, a pair of graphic t-shirts with side gusset detailing inspired by Japanese decorative Sashiko stitch technique and a retro-inspired ASICS GEL-KAYANO™ 5 OG.

The Reigning Champ x ASICS Kyoto Edition will be made available for purchase on June 15, 2019 at select retailers, Reigning Champ flagship stores and online at reigningchamp.com and asics.com.
